Troop 740's goal is to achieve 100% trained status for all registered leaders.

A registered Committee Member must have the following training:

1. Fast Start Training - Boy Scout
2. Youth Protection Training
3. Troop Committee Challenge
4. New Leader Essentials

Upon completion (or if you have already completed training), provide the following to Rich Koehler, Troop Training Coordinator:

• on line sessions: print copy of  completion certificate

• live sessions: copy of training certificates

Each session takes about 30 minutes to complete and can be done at any time.

If you have taken Fast Start, YPT and Committee Challenge more than a couple of years ago, the online courses should be completed as a refresher.

To complete the online courses, you will need to create a user name and password.  You will need to enter the number on your BSA membership card.

Once you are logged in to the site, select the Boy Scout and General tabs to find the sessions you need.

"This course highlights the values, aims, history, funding, and methods of Scouting.  It addresses how these aims and methods are reached in an age-appropriate style with Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting and Venturing.  Videos, discussion and hands-on reinforcement are presented during the 90-minute training session.  Since this is a cross-program session, each leader completes New Leader Essentials training only once."
