Weekly Troop Meeting
(January 8, 2007)
First Aid is a valuable life skill. Knowing basic First Aid can save a life and reduce the need for additional medical care. Do you know what to do for a person with a broken bone?
Tenderfoot, 2nd class, and 1st class have basic First Aid requirements. Knowing basic First Aid is also a requirement for several merit badges such as, Camping, Swimming, Cycling, Hiking, Sports, etc. Additionally, the First Aid Merit Badge is a requirement for Eagle Scout. If you were the injured party, wouldn't you want someone to know and be able to administer First Aid? You can be that person, for yourself and for someone else! While January and February meetings are being dedicated to this important skill, first aid instruction will be a continuing activity. The first learning session happened January 8.
